NOTE FROM THE COMPOSER

The Latin text, “Caritas et amor,” translates “Charity and Love.” The complete statement, then, is where charity and love exist, God is there. This work was commissioned by Northwest Missouri State University, Stephen Town, Conductor.

I wrote this work with frequent references to the well-known  antiphon, Ubi Caritas.   I am honored to conduct this work annually for mass at the Vatican.  It has been performed widely, including the Philippine Madrigal Singers, UP Marill Chorale, International Festival Roma, Raffles Singers (Singapore), among many others.
