This work is a celebration of America’s musical roots, arranged in a medley format. I set the work with a secular version (American Rhapsody) or a version for Advent (American Christmas). Both options are in the same score (with alternative texts and a few alternative carols). One will find such well-known folk songs as “Zion’s Walls,” “Lord of the Dance, “I Wonder as I Wander,” “Long Time Ago,” “Star Carol,” and many others. It is fast-paced, has solo options, and contains songs with which the audience will be immediately familiar.
